Residential Elevator Inc (REI)’s CPQ implementation was limiting growth and agility:
- Heavily customized Salesforce CPQ+ implementation was slowing the business down
- All configurable elements were modeled as products
- Too many products in the catalog, leading to large bundles and poor performance
- Complex product rules requiring extensive custom flows to enforce rules
- A click-intensive UI that slowed quoting and often forced users to restart quotes
- Limited flexibility to evolve pricing and quotes without breaking existing workflows
Solution
REI partnered with ideaHelix, following a recommendation from Salesforce, to pilot Salesforce Agentforce Revenue Management (ARM) and validate it as the future strategic platform.
What changed?
- Pilot delivered an MVP with a much improved quoting experience
- ARMs’s out-of-the-box constraint engine replaced custom configuration logic
- Product model was redesigned from 2,000 to 165 parametrized products
- Guided selling of bundles with CML rules for faster quoting and improved performance
- Improved change order process with pricing and margin calculations in real-time
- Enabled automated quote-to-order and asset creation flows
- A clear roadmap and timeline was established for a full deployment of ARM
